Kunqu Opera "Floating Dreams"

Kunqu Opera from China presented by Suzhou Kunqu Opera Theatre

The 600 years old Kunqu Opera is one of the oldest performance art in the world and in China known as “the master of all operas”. It fascinates through its colourful masques and its unique interaction of dance and song. The graceful poses and the expressive emotions of the characters are accompanied by dolce music.

 

On behalf of the China Arts and Entertainment group Dr. Gabriele Minz GmbH has been responsible for the tour of “Image China” in Germany. During the tour through Germany the unique possibility of experiencing this national treasure outside of China.

“Floating Dreams” is a part of the culture programme IMAGE CHINA that contributes to the protection and preservation of traditional Chinese art.
